NEW PATIENTS
At your first appointment
Consultation
Your initial visit includes a pulse diagnosis, tongue diagnosis, and iris diagnosis. Palpations may also be needed in the evaluation.
Treatment Plan
Dr. Shi will discuss the findings and explain the treatment option with you in order to form a treatment plan.
First Treatment
After your new patient consultation, you will begin your first treatment.
Chronic conditions may require multiple treatment sessions. Following your treatment plan is crucial to seeing successful outcomes.
How to get the most out of your treatments
Commit to the process. Acupuncture is not a quick cure-all; it’s a process. It is very rare for any acupuncturist to be able to resolve a problem with just one treatment. We recommend that you commit to coming in for your treatments consistently according to your treatment plan.
To help ensure a successful appointment please:
-
For your first appointment, arrive for your appointment 10 minutes in advance to fill out a new patient intake form. New Patient Treatments take 1 hour. Follow up visits usually require 45 minutes.
-
Please wear comfortable loose fitting clothing that you can roll up past your knees and elbows.
-
Eat before you come to your appointment. Acupuncture is not recommended if you have an empty stomach.
